Javier López joined the Giants as an advisor to baseball operations prior to the 2026 season. López, a 14-year MLB veteran from 2003-2016, pitched seven seasons with the Giants (2003-2016), winning three World Series (2010, 2012 and 2014) while also being named a Willie Mac Award winner in 2016.
A key member of the Core Four bullpen on the 2010, 2012 and 2014 World Series Champion teams, his 25 postseason games are tied for third-most in franchise history for a pitcher and his 446 career games pitched as a Giant are eighth-most. In his seven seasons as a Giant, López posted a 5.3 bWAR, 17-8 record, 2.47 ERA and 184 strikeouts in 251.0 innings pitched.
Upon retirement, López spent the 2017-2025 seasons as a member of the Giants’ broadcasting team, with color commentator duties on both television (NBC Sports Bay Area) and radio (KNBR).
