MLB Skills Competition

MLB Skills
Pitch, Hit and Run

Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run is the leagueā€™s official skills competition. It is a free, one-day event that gives boys and girls ages 7-14 the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting and running abilities.

Participants compete in either the baseball or softball division and have the opportunity to advance through three levels of competition: Locals, Team Championships and the Finals during the World Series. The mid-atlantic Team Championship takes place at Nationals Park.

Local competitions can be hosted by any organization, league, civic group or set of volunteers in the community with an administrative kit provided upon registration.

Jr. Home Run Derby

MLB Jr. Home Run Derby allows participants to swing for the fences in a fun and free competition that gives hitters the opportunity to advance through three levels of competition culminating at the All-Star Game.

The competition is open to all boys and girls age 14 and under. Participants compete together in one of two age groups (12U or 14U). Coaches, league administrators, adult volunteers and other adults within a local community/recreation organization may sign up to host at JrHRD.com.
