August 4, 2023 – Mets vs. Orioles
The Orioles beat the New York Mets, 10-3, improving to a season-high 26 games over .500. James McCann reached base four times and recorded a career-high-tying five RBI, a season-high three hits, and a stolen base. Jordan Westburg hit his second career home run and first at Oriole Park in the seventh inning, and Mike Baumann earned the win, improving to 9-0 this year.
August 5, 2023 – Mets vs. Orioles
Kyle Gibson earned his 100th career win in the Orioles’ 7-3 victory over the Mets. Gibson threw a season-high-tying 7.0 innings, striking out nine batters. Gunnar Henderson and Anthony Santander each homered in the win. Prior to the game, the Orioles celebrated the 40th anniversary of the 1983 World Series Championship with a special pregame ceremony. Orioles Legends and National Baseball Hall of Famers Eddie Murray, Jim Palmer, and Cal Ripken, Jr. threw out the ceremonial first pitches.
August 6, 2023 – Mets vs. Orioles
The Orioles shut out the Mets, 2-0, to complete the three-game sweep and become the first American League team to 70 wins. It marked the O’s first-ever three-game sweep of the Mets. Félix Bautista earned his 30th save of the year and Shintaro Fujinami recorded a 102.6 mph strikeout, the fastest strikeout pitch of his MLB career and the third-fastest strikeout by an Orioles pitcher since 2008.
August 8, 2023 – Astros vs. Orioles
Ryan Mountcastle hit a 472-foot home run in the first inning, the farthest home run by an Oriole and the second-farthest by any batter at Oriole Park during the Statcast era (since 2015). Adley Rutschman homered in the second inning to extend his RBI streak to a career-high seven straight games.
August 9, 2023 – Astros vs. Orioles
Austin Hays hit his 10th home run of the year and Ryan Mountcastle extended his season-long hitting streak to 11 games. Jack Flaherty became the first Orioles pitcher in club history to record at least 16 total strikeouts across his first two outings with the team. Prior to the game, the club celebrated Kyle Gibson and Aaron Hicks reaching 10 years of Major League service time.
August 10, 2023 – Astros vs. Orioles
The Orioles beat the Houston Astros, 5-4. Adley Rutschman hit his first career leadoff home run, becoming the first primary catcher in Orioles history to hit a leadoff home run. Ryan Mountcastle homered in the seventh inning to extend his hitting streak to 12 games. Dean Kremer got the win, throwing a season-high-tying 7.0 innings.
