Florida Complex League

The FCL, which includes 15 teams, gives many international players their first professional experience in the United States, as well as recently drafted or signed players their first experience in professional baseball. FCL games will take place at Ed Smith Stadium unless otherwise announced.

Know Before You Go

Parking and Entry

  • Parking will be available in the East Lot off of 12th St. and N Tuttle Ave.
  • Fan Entry will be located at the East Gate (free admission).
  • Gates open 1 hour prior to first pitch.

Stadium Security

  • No umbrellas, hard-sided coolers, glass bottles, cans or alcoholic beverages are permitted into the ballpark. You must leave these items in your vehicle before entering the ballpark.
  • Guests can bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into Ed Smith Stadium using the guidelines found on the Sarasota A-Z Guide. These guidelines are specific to Orioles FCL home games and do not apply to special events held at the ballpark (i.e. concerts, tours, corporate events, etc.). Items that do not meet the guidelines will not be allowed.
  • Bags are prohibited in Ed Smith Stadium, with the exception of medically necessary items including diaper bags. Clear plastic bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" and clutch purses no larger than 5" x 7" will be allowed. All bags are subject to search.
  • No containers or unauthorized items can be left at any park entrance. You will be asked to return them to your vehicle. No re-entry will be permitted. Once you enter the ballpark, you will not be permitted to leave and re-enter the facility. Please make sure you have everything you need with you before entering the ballpark.

Autograph Policy

  • Time permitting, players and coaches may sign autographs for fans before and after the game.

Seating

  • Seating at Ed Smith Stadium is in the bleachers located behind home plate.

Media Policy

  • All interview requests must be approved in advance by Orioles PR.
  • Still photography is allowed as long as the equipment does not interfere with or obstruct the view of other fans.

Orioles Dominican Academy

The 22.5-acre complex is home to the Orioles’ regional facility for Caribbean, Central, and South American player development operations, and includes three full fields, a sports turf agility field, batting and pitching tunnels, administrative buildings, dormitories, and educational facilities. The complex will house more than 100 players, coaches, and staff, providing dormitory-style rooms and entertainment spaces and includes three classrooms and a computer lab, which will provide on-site learning and an education plan for each player, as well as a dining room that will offer daily nutritious meals.
