COVID-19 Testing/Proof of Vaccination Requirements FAQ

Pursuant to New York State and Department of Health Testing Guidelines as of 03/31/21

To begin the season, attendance for select games will be limited to approximately 20% of the capacity of Yankee Stadium. Each fan in attendance, 2 years and older, will be required to take a PCR or rapid antigen COVID-19 test with negative results or provide proof of a COVID-19 full vaccination, as well as temperature checks on each game day in order to gain entry. Please note the required timeframes associated with each option so you can plan ahead accordingly.

Guests, holding valid game tickets, who cannot present proof of either a negative COVID-19 test within the required timeframes or proof of a COVID-19 full vaccination will not be allowed inside Yankee Stadium. There is NO COVID-19 Testing available at Yankee Stadium.

COVID-19 VACCINATION: What if I can provide proof that I have received a COVID-19 vaccine? Do I still need to present a negative COVID-19 test result?

No. Per New York State guidelines, Guests that can present documentation proving that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 do not need to also present a negative COVID-19 test result. Guests must be fully vaccinated, which means the day of the Event you are attending must be at least 14 days after your second dose of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine or at least 14 days after your single dose of the Johnson & Johnson's Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccinated Guests need to provide proof of vaccination in the form of the CDC vaccination card issued or a record of vaccination from the healthcare provider who administered the vaccine along with an appropriate ID matching the name on the COVID-19 vaccination documentation. Printed COVID-19 vaccination documentation or proof of documentation displayed on your iPhone or Android phone will be accepted.

What are the COVID-19 testing requirements for attending an Event at Yankee Stadium?

Guests need to present proof from a healthcare provider of a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the day of the Event you are attending or proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within six (6) hours of the scheduled start time of the Event you are attending along with an appropriate ID matching the name on the COVID-19 test result. For example, if a game is on a Wednesday at 7:05 p.m., the PCR COVID-19 test can be taken any time beginning on Sunday morning; the COVID-19 rapid antigen test can be taken any time beginning at 1 p.m. on the day of the game. What kind of COVID-19 test do I have to take?

Is onsite COVID-19 testing available at Yankee Stadium? Does Yankee Stadium offer any options for offsite testing?

No, testing is not provided onsite at Yankee Stadium.

We recognize that Guests currently have to do more to prepare for attending Events at Yankee Stadium, and hope these additional options make things a little easier. Guests holding tickets may choose any healthcare provider that offers PCR COVID-19 testing or COVID-19 rapid antigen testing to complete their pregame testing. Please note that any costs for COVID-19 testing should be paid directly to the healthcare provider. Guests holding tickets should consult their insurance provider to determine actual costs.

The NY Forward Rapid Test Program is a public-private partnership designed to offer affordable and convenient rapid testing across New York State. This expanded network of easily accessible testing locations provides convenient access to affordable COVID-19 rapid tests, with test results available online approximately 30 minutes after your test is complete.

At a cost of $29.95 per test, which includes healthcare provider oversight, these rapid antigen tests are available at convenient sites throughout New York City and NY State, including at select CVS Pharmacy locations. As a reminder, rapid antigen tests must be completed within six (6) hours of the scheduled start time of the event you are attending.

Vault Health can provide fans with a simple, FDA-authorized, saliva-based PCR COVID-19 test – that can be taken at home.

  • Once you purchase tickets, visit https://learn.vaulthealth.com/yankees/ where you will find detailed information, including how to request a test.
  • Vault Health will overnight the test directly to your home.
  • You will then need to complete the test under video supervision by a medical professional and return it overnight to Vault Health to ensure the test can be promptly processed, and results are received on or before the day of the Event.

How will I need to present my COVID-19 test results?

Guests may utilize Health Pass by CLEAR to confirm your COVID-19 test results for the Event. Health Pass is a free service on the CLEAR mobile app that allows you to link your COVID-19 test results for seamless entry. Your Health Pass will appear on your iPhone or Android phone as a green or red result that you will show to Stadium security upon arrival. Enroll for free and have your Health Pass ready before the Event (https://clear.app.link/YankeeStadiumAttendee); all you’ll need is a government-issued ID and your lab provider login. How will I need to present my COVID-19 vaccination documentation?

You can display your vaccination documentation on your iPhone or Android phone or present a printed copy. Please note that your vaccination documentation must be in the form of the CDC card issued or a record of vaccination directly from the healthcare provider who administered the vaccine with an appropriate ID matching the name on the vaccination result.

What if I test positive for COVID-19 during the requisite COVID-19 Testing Window?

Guests who test positive for COVID-19 will not be permitted entry into the Stadium.

Individual Account Holders: An individual account holder who: (a) originally purchased Game tickets from the New York Yankees or Ticketmaster; and (b) tests positive for COVID-19 during the requisite COVID-19 Testing Window (i.e., 72-hours prior to the applicable Game) may be eligible for one (1) of the following: (x) a credit equal to the established price of the applicable Game ticket, which may be applied towards the purchase of tickets for the 2021 or 2022 regular season (subject to availability); (y) the benefit of the Rain Check Policy; or (z) a refund of the established price of the applicable Game ticket.

In order to be eligible, the individual account holder of record must accurately complete all mandatory fields in the required Request Form no later than 48 hours after the applicable Game for each applicable ticket. Any Request Form received after the 48-hour submission window will only be eligible for the Rain Check Policy. Any incomplete and/or unverifiable information contained in the Request Form will cause the submission to be rejected and notification of such rejection will be provided. Any approved refund or credit will only be issued to the account holder of record and the original method of payment.
