2026 HOPE Week: Day 3
The Yankees honored Bronx-based organization First Tee Metropolitan New York, a youth development organization which uses the game of golf as a vehicle to teach life skills, shape character and prepare students for long-term success both on and off the course. Its “Path to College” program is designed to equip middle and high school students with the practical tools and emotional readiness to pursue higher education. At the event, Yankees players Gerrit Cole, Max Fried, Clarke Schmidt, Trent Grisham, Ryan McMahon, Jake Bird, Paul Blackburn, Brent Headrick, Tim Hill and Ryan Weathers, along with Assistant Hitting Coach Casey Dykes and Assistant Pitching Coach Desi Druschel, toured First Tee's facility at Mosholu Golf Course in the Bronx and participated in putting drills with students.
