2026 HOPE Week: Day 4
The Yankees honored Brian Schwartz and his national nonprofit "I Want To Mow Your Lawn," which provides older adults, veterans, and other individuals facing physical or financial hardship with free, temporary lawn care relief provided by generous volunteers. The program originated during the isolation of the COVID pandemic and became a national initiative that continues to this day. At the event, Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman, players Jasson Domínguez, Fernando Cruz, Amed Rosario, Camilo Doval and Ali Sánchez, coaches Luis Rojas, James Rowson and Dan Fiorito, along with Yankees Major League Information Coordinator Ryan McLaughlin and Yankee Stadium Head Groundskeeper Danny Cunningham, joined Schwartz in surprising the Kim family with free lawn maintenance at a residential home in Leonia, New Jersey. While there, the Yankees group was led through their work by experts at CLC Landscape Design.
