Orioles Probable Pitchers

Allen's first Major League start was a good one. He got a dollar from John Cena for winning a bet, then went seven scoreless innings with five strikeouts. Allen permitted only three hits in the 90-pitch outing.

For the second time in a week, the Orioles will use Yacabonis as an opener and likely follow him with left-hander Josh Rogers. Yacabonis threw two scoreless innings in his first start of the season, last week at Oakland. The righty is 1-1 with a 4.70 ERA in 15 appearances overall.

The .264 batting average allowed by Strahm this season is the highest of his career and, recently, those hits have been long. In three June starts, he's allowed five doubles and six homers among the 19 hits opponents have recorded.

Bundy is pitching himself into possibly becoming a potential trade chip, after spending the past two months as one of the AL's most consistent starters. He's pitched to a 3.46 over his past nine starts, allowing three runs or fewer in eight of them.

Clevinger will return to the mound after his second stint on the injured list. In his first start after straining his upper back on June 17 in Texas, Clevinger sprained his left ankle, causing him to miss his next start. He allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings.

Means returns to the Orioles rotation after a bout of left shoulder soreness caused him to miss one start. He's grown indispensable for an Orioles club starved for pitching depth during his rookie year, going 6-4 with a 2.67 ERA across 16 games (12 starts).

Plesac will look to win his third consecutive start on Saturday in Baltimore. The 24-year-old right-hander got off to a slow start Sunday vs. the Tigers, but settled in to toss seven solid frames, allowing one run -- a solo homer -- on five hits.

The Orioles believe Cashner is over the blister problems he dealt with during the middle weeks of June, after the right-hander completed six innings last time out without issue. The Orioles are 9-6 when Cashner starts.

Bieber allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits through 5 1/3 innings Tuesday vs. the Royals, while also walking two batters and hitting another. When he faced the Orioles on May 19, Bieber tossed his first career shutout with 15 strikeouts.

It's been a struggle lately for Ynoa, who has allowed 13 runs in 7 2/3 innings over his last two starts. The right-hander is 0-5 with a 6.75 ERA overall.
