6/23/18 - Sarasota Summerfest with Gulf Coast League Orioles

The Orioles and fans of all ages celebrated the start of the Gulf Coast League season at Summerfest, a free family-friendly event at Ed Smith Stadium, on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

Along with watching the GCL Orioles take on the Rays on the Main Field, fans at Summerfest also enjoyed games and interactive activities in the stadium concourse.

Fans streamed into the stadium for hours of fun. Every Saturday during the GCL season, kids 14 and under receive a premium Orioles giveaway.

It was a great day to remember with family photos!

Fans donated nonperishable food items for All Faiths Food Bank, a charitable collection that will run throughout the summer GCL season.

All Faiths Food Bank also received donations through "Spin for Charity," where fans could spin to win terrific Orioles-themed prizes.

Fans of all ages played games of skill, practicing their techniques in hitting, pitching, and more.

Giant Jenga was a hit, even when the tower toppled.

Corn hole in the sunshine drew fierce competitors, with the Oriole Bird as umpire.

Out on the Main Field, the Orioles were playing for a win versus the Rays.

Fans took in the game from shaded seats, with the Oriole Bird visiting for selfies.

GCL players enjoyed competing on a Major League field for cheering fans.

First-time fans sometimes had to take a break from all of the activity.
